Property management system

The business

A family property business with homes, flats and shops across Kenya and Uganda, collecting rent in more than one currency.

The problem

Tenants, rent and expenses were tracked in spreadsheets and messages. Nobody could see at a glance who had paid, who was late or what each property actually earned.

What we built

One dashboard for properties, units, tenants and leases. Rent and arrears alerts, expenses and maintenance, profit and loss, tax reports, and KES, UGX and USD side by side.

The result

Arrears now show up the day they're due instead of at month end, and the monthly report is generated from the system instead of built by hand.

Build and spend ledger

The business

A family construction business running several build projects at the same time, with spending approved by the owner.

The problem

Receipts and spending were spread across notebooks and phones, so it was hard to know how much of each project's budget was already gone.

What we built

A ledger where every expense is logged against a project budget, goes through approval, and rolls up into a monthly statement that can be printed or downloaded as CSV. Team members get their own logins and roles.

The result

The owner sees budget used per project in real time and gets a clean monthly statement without anyone compiling it.
